When is a mold detection test in order?
Is it necessary to get a mold detection test? You can generally tell if there is mold in your home by seeing it or smelling it. However, you might want further testing for the presence of mold in your home, particularly if you suspect that you are experiencing allergies or other health symptoms.
There are currently no limits or standards under federal law concerning the types, levels or exposure of mold that are unhealthy, nor are there laws concering the types of molds that are allowed in indoor public places.
